Conformity,

is a common word.

A common reality,

part of this world.

 

People try to stand out.

Not to be different.

Only to appear as an indivisual.

In others opinions.

 

A different look,

with the same feel.

Different thoughts,

only made to appeal.

 

Modern trends,

renewed from the past.

Looks that are unique.

But never last.

 

Having controversial opinions,

{suicide, belief, & death}

No longer make you different,

but the same as all the rest.

 

Poetry has become commercial.

Different has become the same.

Magazines, television, & internet.

Society is to blame.

i like the title and the premise of the poem. there is something to be said for being different just like everyone else. it's part of finding your identity. been there, done that. got the tie dyed t-shirt. oh, by the way, there's only one 'p' in opinion.

well, this one confuses me :s lol. i'm sure u understood what u were saying when u wrote this poem but remember :p my grammar isn't as good as urs lol. but it's neat. i like it even if it kills my braincells ;)
