a poem about herInstagram has me losing faith in this world, then i saw it, i saw her, this one beautiful girl, among hundreds of selfies of small people people with small minds, I'm looking at nothing at all, scrolling till I'm blind. then comes this girl who made me stop dead, now my world is shaken, i can't get her out of my head, for more than a minute to tell her how, how much more gorgeous she is seeing her in person now. Now i recall all the things I've done and seen, Brilliant sunsets over oceans casting colors of orange and blue and green, but in the tide of these memories, the awe was washed away, for nothing i had seen prepared me for the beauty of today. Forgive me for being cliche, for being cheesy, but finding the words to describe her hasn't been easy, you see its not something to be put in ink drop by drop, its something felt when you see that smile that makes your heart stop. Of all the things in the world that can be written down, no word, no author could describe those eyes, perfectly brown, Those eyes i could talk of all night that have me locked and pull me in, they make the world sink and the earth stop its spin. Her beauty is only matched by her personality, She's funny, she's smart, she has me thinking there’s no way this is reality, She is so kind, selfless, and understanding I barely know her and she's already been a safe place when i was crash landing. In such a small time she has put on quite a show, now I'm hooked, I'm sold, theres so much more I want to know, but alas it seems it is my fate at the end of the day, to scroll on through life and hold to hope once more she will look my way. © 2017 Frank Roberts |
