Animal

Animal

A Poem by Aya Fayyad
"

jotted down in 5 mins while caught in anger, hopefully shall unlock my writer's block..

"

A callous four-lettered arrow,

 penetrates my long preserved sorrow

Storms of rage escape to the surroundings,

To be soon lost in their direction by the silencing void

Heavy rain brings memories of the animate’s suffering

The sandy box, salty wheelchair, and dusty desk hidden

Only for my eyes to see

Calling a bullet to free,

the unbearable burden of the animal
