Chapter three:

five years ago

Rachel loved vegas. All the flashing lights & dressed up people reminded her that not everything  is as dreary as she is. Her black stiletto boots hit the pavement so loudly it caused everyone to look her way as she crossed from the casino to the bar. She made her way to the bar & sat down, waiting for someone to buy her a drink.

(Blood red lips, traced with a tongue, they shine, cut through a crowed room)
Elissa stood in a corner by herself, sipping whiskey on the rocks. She had been bored here, something that happened more & more frequently lately. The Adrimal's Arms was the place to be if you were anybody in this town, unfortunately all the 'somebodys' in this town Elisssa had met, been there done that.  She has almost decided to leave when she noticed the girl come in. The girl  was wearing a tight black half-s**t with long sleeves & a collar that had a lock on it,  a black & red plad mini skirt & knee high black boots. The girl's hair was the same color as Elissa's lipstick. Elissa watched her walk to bar & sit down, but not order a drink.

(A look can say alot sometimes so ill take all my attraction & project on you, every disappointment & mistake...)

Rachel looked up through heavily mascaraed  babydoll lashes & flicked her eyes lazily around the room. She caught eyes with Elissa, & where Rachel found a look that was hardened by time & yet appeared to searching for beauty, Elissa found a look that was scared & angry, & knew how to use that on people.  Rachel was taken back with what she saw, but didnt follow her first instinct to head home right away. Instead she sat back against the bar & waited, still looking at Elissa.

Elissa noticed the way the girl sat back & tilted her head as if to say 'what are you waiting for?' If she went forward now it would falling right into her hands, but at this point Elissa didnt care. Her head was spinning. She was excited, & that never happened.

Rachel watched the red lip-stick lady approach her, & noted her clothes. She realised now that she couldnt see her eyes because of a small hat the lady wore, with black lace obscuring the top left side of her face. Her dress was deep purple, deeper cut & tight, ending just above the knee. She wore small black ankle boots adorned with studs.  Elissa walked directly up to Rachel & leaned against the bar next her, placing on black-gloved hand on her hip.  Rachel watch her the whole time, watch her red mouth elegantly form the words "you're not from around here, are you?" Rachel was a bit taken back  at the lack of an introduction, but managed to reply "no..no, im just visiting." "Visiting who?" Elissa said with a smirk, picking up a whiskey drink the bartender had just put down in front of a man looking into the dance floor. "Visiting the city. What about you,  what do you here?"  Elissa smiled as placed the empty glass back in front on the oblivious man, her kiss print around the rim.  "I live in a loft, i paint, i take pictures, what do you say we take a walk?" Elissa put her hand on Rachel's shoulder & turned her around, moving her hand to the small of her back as they walked away from the man now yelling at the bartender.

Elissa pulled Rachel out onto the dance floor.  This close to the speakers it was impossible to hear anything over the obnoxious club music The Arms chose to play. Elissa & Rachel didnt bother to speak. Instead they let their dancing show their intrigue for each other. Elissa presses closer to Rachel as more & more people flooded their space. Rachel couldnt stop herself from blushing at Elissa's touch, & she noticed. That was exactly what Elissa wanted. Rachel had never  felt this comfortable with anything before. Elissa almost felt like home, which she never had.
