Prelude

Prelude

A Poem by Doll

As time takes in its last breaths
all sit tight with great expectations
lives pass by their eyes
closing the gap
between the now and then

Silent prayers weave into the dark
whispering inside the countless minds
words forever unspoken
endlessly hoping
filling the emptiness inside

And stars explode in the dark of night
lighting the skies with colorful precision
eyes tending upwards
into the fire
marking a new beginning

This poem makes me wonder if the end of time is simply the beginning of a new physical manifestation of time. Very beautiful language, but could use more clarity.
