Ice crystals fall down like frozen tears
Dancing with the winds of winter
So cold and icy; so beautiful and cruel
Carefully landing on the cushioned scenery
The sun is sending down its pure white light
Making them glisten like pieces of a mirror
But in an awfully awake moment they realize
They're melting away; slowly but unstoppable
Silent screams are filling the air; all in vain
No one will ever hear their lonely suffering
They are born to die within this lovely idyll
And everything seems so white and innocent
The world is oblivious to all of this atrociousness
Enjoying wintertime without suspecting
Leaving the ice to the mercy of the beaming sun
Watch it fade with awe and devious delight
i really enjoyed this. winter's so wonderful - the snow, the sun and the ice, but you showed us a view of winter from the other perspective. the perspective of the things creating this beautiful time of the year and their miserable end, which goes naturally unnoticed, but should be considered. each coin has two sides and we definitely should look at them both. a very good job, dear. =)
I see great imagery, emotion, a scent of cold air that fills my lungs in sad moments, and at the very end it was made into a beautiful and well said piece.
this is very beautiful and thought provoking. too bad I hadn't read this earlier today, because then I would have thought different about this wonderful winterday. -k
