A Stage Play by Olita Tupou
"

Still Searching for the right genre

"
I have always liked humour and satire
It is the blood and veins that protects the bone-

With or without it, there is a disarray of unsettledness-

Life itself as one would later realize -is really -

A poem full of humour and colorless irony,

It is a short story with chapters connected to an unwritten end;

Satire is the common sense that creeps upon you when you lost the plot

Stop and embrace it, it is destiny calling to detour

Whether one's creator has choreographed life, or the life itself evolves -

Satire is the reader's exaggeration of their own shortcomings

Imprinted on you, instead of them, humour is the revenge taken sweet when served cold!

I have always like humour and satire, I would say

It is the writer's control of the ending without knowing the beginning itself...

I really enjoyed this poem! The line breaks do a good job of creating a rhythm and flow without the use of strict meter of rhyme. I've had a hard time understanding satire in the past, but maybe I'll have to give the genre another go after reading this
