But You

But You

A Poem by Jessica A. Faust
"

Best friend poem

"
I can dream with my eyes open
And still have the most pleasant of dreams.
I can speak with my eyes
And still be understood.
I can listen with my heart
And still determine right from wrong.
I can taste the notes of a song
And still speak the words.
I can dance with my mind
and still be held together.
I can look under weather
And still fool everyone,
But you.

Hey, this is a really nice tribute for a best friend or anything of the sort. It completely shows how different a best friend is from all the other people that you know. They know you, sometimes even better than you know yourself.
I love how straightforward this poem was, and how the words you used were so simple but powerful. Great job!

Keep writing!
