Chapter 4A Chapter by Jessica A. FaustThis chapter is about how Mistist met Stoney and how she finds Shaze. It was the fall of 2010 when Mistist had met the girl of her dreams. She had long red hair that dropped down her shoulders like curtains. Her bangs were shorter and barely in her beautiful green eyes. Her body was perfect in ever way. Mistist would just stare at her from a far. She was too scared to say hi, so she would just stayed up in the sky. She would keep a distance from this girl. She only wish she knew her name.
“I wanted to say, don't get me wrong, but us Angels were forbidden. God, knows why we were. That bugs me.” Mistist thought within the dream.
One day after fighting all this pressure building up inside of her, she decided to go say hi to this gorgeous female. She made a plan where she decided that she'd pretend to be Human. Mistist went to the Mist Angel's Fort and grabbed a potion. The potion would nearly turn her into a Human, all she needed to do was remove her halo. She opened up the bottle and placed it to her lips. The liquid swam down her throat and left an awful bitter taste in her mouth. As soon as the liquid was down her throat, her wings began to pull into her skin.
“Perfect.” She said, glancing a look at her Human self in a mirror on the wall.
She took her halo off, placing it into a bag on her back and grabbed another bottle of potion, one to give her back her wings. Angels could do just like Demons, they could remove their top pieces. She look off out the door on the way back to her lovely prey. She reached Earth searching for this girl, who seemed to be no where in site. She walked around the area where she'd normally see the girl. It was a school yard.
The label placed upon the school read, “Shi High School”.
Mistist walked up to the door about to open it when she heard someone call, “Hay, are you new?”
Mistist looked at the older female and nodded.
“Ok, come with me. We'll get you in uniform and a set of classes. What's your name?” Said the older women.
“It's Mistist Uzara.” Mistist spoke quietly.
“That's a very nice name.” Said the women, walking Mistist into her office.
“Thank you.” Mistist said.
The lady typed on her computer for a while as another lady brought Mistist an outfit. The outfit consisted of a black button up top and a black pleated shirt, along with a pain of black tennis shoes.
“You can place those on in that room over there.” The lady directed Mistist to a nearby restroom.
She walked in and placed her bag down, then she began placing on the cloths. She first took off her white gown and then placed on the black button up top, buttoning the buttons until only the first two were undone. Next she pulled the black pleated skirt up over her wide hips. It fit her curves perfectly. She sat down and placed on the black shoes. When she got up she petted the skirt looking at it.
She did a little twirl and thought, “Oh my goodness. This is so cute.”
Her face lit up like a light bulb and she pranced around the room with giddy feelings all about. There was a knock at the door and Mistist stopped prancing about and answered the door.
“Are you ready to begin your classes.” The older woman said handing Mistist the list of classes.
They read, “1st period Art, 2nd period Lit., 3rd period Math, 4th period Science, 5th period History, 6th period French, and 7th period Music”.
“Now if you'll just follow me.” The lady said leading Mistist to her first class.
“This is the Art room. The teacher's name is Mrs. Meyo. She will be happy to help you with anything you may need help with. Oh and one more thing.” She said handing Mistist a combination.
“This is for your locker. The locker is 1424. 30 to the left, one time around, 42 right, and then 2 left. Got that.” The lady asked.
“Yeah, I got it thanks.” Mistist said not sure what she had just got herself into.
“I sure hope she takes this class.” Misist thought to herself as she walked into the room.
All eyes were on her as she pranced into the room. She held her head high. She knew if she acted sweet, happy, and not weird; she'd fit right in. She walked up to Mrs. Meyo and handed her, her class list.
“Ah we have a new student class. Please introduce yourself young lady.” Mrs. Meyo said as Mistist turned to face the class.
“Hi, I am Mistist Uzara.” Mistist said with a little bow.
So of the class giggled, mostly the girls in front. She could feel the eyes on her.
“Now please take the seat next to the young boy in the back with the red back pack.” Spoke Mrs. Meyo.
Mistist walked down the row, the prance ever in her step. She walked past the giggling females and to a small group of guys. The black haired one blushed as Mistist took the seat next to him. The seats were touching because their were so many students in this one room. Mistist swung her bag over the chair and look at the young man.
She smiled and said, “Hi. What's your name?”
“Um... It's Zack.” The young boy blushed.
Mistist received many looks from the other males in the class, the one sitting next to her seemed to be the only decent guy. One who wasn't a big at heart. She smiled at him, which only made him redder. The other guy to her right, a more handsome boy, scooted his chair over. Mistist was used to this attention. As she received it from a lot of the male Warrior Angels in Heaven.
“So what you up to good looking?” He spoke to Mistist like a hot headed pig.
“The ceiling, of course. Any dim wit could tell that.” She said, as to deflect his “hit on” tactic.
“Well you're a smart a*s, aren't you?” The hot headed pig said to her.
He leaned in closer to her, grabbing a bunch of her hair. He leaned up close to her ear.
He whispered, “I know you want me baby, don't fight it.”
Mistist slammed her heel into the tip of his toes. She smiled as he bit his lip in pain.
“Sorry sweet heart, I don't roll that way.” Mistist smirked at him, tossing her long silver hair about.
He had nothing left to say. The young boy beside her was laughing as his buddy got dissed by her. Mistist looked over at him and smiled.
“Yeah I don't take crap from people. Like that? A women who takes charge.” She laughed.
“Yeah. It's pretty funny. Who'd think though, that such a pretty girl would be only out to get chicks.” He laughed again.
“Yeah. Was born that way. Can't help it, you know?” She smiled, feeling close to this male.
He accepted her and she was glad. The Humans seemed to be more open to lesbians then did the Angels. She continued to smile as the first bell rang.
“What's your next class.” Zack said.
“It's um...” Mistist said pulling out her list.
“Ah, it's Literature.” She said.
“Me too, I'll take you there.” Said Zack, grabbing Mistist by the hand.
The two ran out into the hall and took a left at the first opening. Then they took the stairs up to the next floor. They came to the first door on the right and walked in.
“Mr. Zish, we have a new student. Her name is Mistist. I am taking her to all her classes because we have most of them together.” Zach said.
“Ah, good to see you doing something with yourself other than chasing after freshmen. Take the girl to her seat.” Laughed Mr. Zish.
“Oh no worries. He's such a joke.” Smiled Zach
His smile was contagious and soon Mistist was smiling. She sat down beside him once again. They sat in the far back of the room. There was Shakespeare written upon the board. Mistist perked up. She loved Shakespeare. Through what seemed to be the whole class, her eyes stayed glued to the board and her instructor. He was going on about McBeth. That was her favorite play. She loved how the need for power and lies the witches had told McBeth was his down fall in the end. She thought this to be very true.
“If I was ever told I were to be Thane of two things and then king here after, I'd...” Mistist thought before the door to the room opened up.
A red head stepped in, hair in a mess. It was her red head. The one she had been looking for all day.
“Sorry I'm late. I had to finish some work.” Said this red head.
“Ah, late again, Stoney.” Mr. Zish had said.
“Why don't you go have a seat, and join up in our little world of tragic heroism.” Mr. Zish said in a different sounding voice.
“So that's her name. Stoney... That's such a pretty name.” Mistist thought to herself, as Stoney walked over to sit in front of her.
Just before she said now their eyes met. Her eyes were a blazing green. Beyond them, Mistist thought she saw happiness and hope. She nudged Zack beside her.
“What?” He said.
“Is she with anyone?” Mistist whispered to him.
“Who?” Zach said back, not worring about being loud.
“Hush. Her.” Mistist said point to Stoney in front of her.
“No. Many guys have tried but she's dissed them all. Think she might be like you.” Zack said glancing at Misist.
“You aren't thinking about?” He said in a whisper.
“Yeah, yeah I am.” Mistist whispered back at him, a curious fire like glare in her silver eyes.
“You think you really stand a chance?” He asked her, before she could reach forward to talk to Stoney.
“Yeah. I just need to plan it out.” She said.
Zack looked at her and then back at Stoney.
“I hope you know what your doing.” He said.
“Oh and she has all your remaining classes with you except Science, which is after lunch.” He mumbled.
“Really?!” Mistist said with a smile across her face.
“Yeah. I wish you much luck there, Mist. Can I call you Mist?” Zack asked.
“Hm, yeah sure. Kind of sound cool. Don't you think? She said, glancing Stoney up and down.
“Yeah, yeah it does. I'm so clever.” Zack said, smiling a big smile.
Stoney shuffled in her seat as Mistist gazed her up and down. She licked her lips wanting so badly to say the words in her mind, hoping they would come out right. The only thing she could do was hope. The bell rang and Mistist scurried to her feet.
“Hay Stoney.” She called.
Stoney glanced back at the silver haired girl, curious to know what she wanted. No one ever really talked to her before. Plus she'd never seen this girl around before.
“Um, yes. Do I know you?” Stoney said, green eyes watching Mistist as she walked over to her.
“No, I'm new. But I figured you seemed nice enough. How about you show me around?” Mistist said with a wink.
“Sure, I'll catch you at lunch. Hm. Wait, what class do you have next?” Stoney laughed and asked Mistist.
“I have Math next. I hear you are heading the same way.” Mistist said staring Stoney straight in the green eyes.
“Yeah, you've done your research, eh? Well come on then. We don't want to be late to Ms. Flase's class. She'll eat us alive if we are, reguardless if you are a new student or not.” Stoney said, approving of this Mistist character.
“Ok.” Mistist said smiling, as the two girls walked together.
Zack caught up to them. He was out of breath and his hair was a mess.
“Boy people do like to rush all over the place here.” Mistist said, helping Zack straighten his hair.
“I was just...” He began as Stoney cut him off.
“Oh, I was only rushing because I had slept in. Normally I wouldn't care, but something told me to be here on time. I'm glad I was.” She said with a wink at Mistist.
Mistist smiled and said, “Good, I'm glad too.”
She could already tell this was going to go good. Stoney had taken to her quite nicely. The hard part would come when she tried to tell her the Angel part. Mistist sighed and continued to walk with her two new friend, hoping the one she liked would like her back and become her lover. The crew got into the next class way before it was time to be there. They had about five minutes to sit and joke around.
“So Stoney, What's up with the green eyes, red hair thing going on?” Mistist asked, not expecting an answer.
“Odd isn't it? Mother had green eyes, and father had red hair. I guess that's how it happened.” Stoney spoke, with a shrug.
“Oh, so you still up for that tour at lunch?” Mistist asked.
“Of course. I'm always ready to show fresh meat around.” Stoney laughed.
Zack laughed too and spoke, “You mean you like playing with them.”
“Oh, yeah. That too.” Stoney smirked and winked at Mistist again, placing her right hand on Mistist's left leg.
“Hm. What kind of “play”?” Mistist asked pushing Stoney's hand higher.
“Oh my, naughty are we?” Stoney said leaning over to Mistist and whispering in her ear.
Just then the teacher walked in.
“Class quiet down! Open up your books and get to work!” Ms. Flase spoke harshly.
“Oh but Mr. Flase we have a new student.” Said Zack.
“We do? Stand now, whoever you are and speak your name.” Ms. Flase said with harshness.
“I'm Mistist Uzara.” Mistist said head held high, unafraid of this teacher.
“What kind of name is that? Did you transfer in from freaksville or something?” Ms. Flase laughed and the whole class laughed with her.
“No disrespect, Ms. Flase, but I think that name rather pretty. Why must you laugh and clown about everyone's name?” Stoney spoke, standing beside Mistist.
“Sit down, child and mind your business. To work class.” Mr. Flase said eying Mistist's group.
Mistist giggled and whispered to Stoney, “Thanks.”
“No problem, she's just a fat meanie who, if you ask me needs to get laid.” Laughed Stoney.
Mistist laughed as the class began to work. She couldn't believe what was happening. The bell rang for lunch and Mistist and Stoney both rushed out, followed by Zack.
“Well, I'll catch you two later I guess.” He said.
“Yeah, see yah.” Stoney said, pulling Mistist by the hand up a set of stair and then another.
Mistist let Stoney take her where ever she please. They reached the roof and Stoney pulled Mistist over to the ledge.
“This is one of my favorite places. I've also never brought anyone up here. We have all lunch period, what do you want to do?” Stoney said, looking at Mistist with longing in her eyes.
Mistist could tell Stoney had been alone for many years. Mistist could tell a lot about a person just by their eyes. She reached for Stoney and held her. Then she stepped back and looked at Stoney. Stoney didn't know what to say, so she kissed Mistist hard and deep. Mistist was in shock at what was happening, but she let it happen. She held Stoney once more and then let go.
“There is something I have to tell you.” Mistist said.
“What is it, dear?” Stoney looked a Mistist with curiousity filling her green eyes.
“I'm something some people say doesn't exist or can't.” Mistist said, sort of debating if she should really tell Stoney.
“What if she thinks I'm lying just to make her like me more?” Mistist thought.
“I'm very open minded and I believe in many things. Go ahead, hit me with it.” Stoney said, open and willing.
“Well I'm an Angel.” Mistist said.
“Prove it and I'll believe it.” Stoney said.
Mistist opened her bag and took the potion. Her pure white feathered wings sprouted out of her back. Then she grabbed her halo from the front compartment of her bag and placed it in the air above her head. It floated with ease. It even seemed to be happy with being back in it's place.
“See.” Mistist said, turning around fully.
“Are those real?” Stoney said, eyes wide in shock.
“Feel them if you think them to be fake.” Mistist said, glad Stoney was handling this well.
Stoney placed her hands on the white wings. She couldn't believe that they felt so real.
“They are so soft and I can feel the muscles within them.” Stoney said, with awe on her face.
“I told you. Want to go for a ride?” Mistist said, grabbing Stoney's hand and turning to face her.
“Hell yeah!” Stoney said, excited to be experiencing something knew, something she never thought could be true.
Mistist held Stoney's hand and led her out over the edge of the building and into the air. Stoney stared in amazement the whole time. Mistist smiled down upon her. She couldn't believe the girl she was crushing on had been so willing to believe her about everything. She even seemed like she might want to know more about Mistist's world. This made her heart jump up and down. Finally she had found someone who took her for her.
They landed back on the roof. Mistist giving Stoney a sweet kiss. Stoney had so many questions her mind was buzzing.
“Are there ranks? Is there a God? What do you do? What are you doing here on Earth? What is Heaven like?” She asked.
“I'll answer all those next time. I need to be getting back home. Tell Zack I said later.” Mistist said.
“Aw. Please don't leave.” Stoney said almost begging Mistist to say.
She didn't want her to leave yet. Not after today had been so much fun. Stoney hadn't had this much fun since the first time she moved here.
“I'm sorry, love. I must go. I don't want to leave, believe me. But I must. I will be punished if I'm not.” Mistist said, leaving her beautiful Stoney all by herself, well at least she could hang out with Zack now and tell him all she had told Stoney.
That was all Mistist could remember from that day. That had been the best day of her young life so far. Mistist heard her alarm clock go off and began to wake up.
When Mistist awoke from her dream she went out for some fresh air again. She walked passed the guards and out into the sky. But instead of taking the cloud, she just flew down. She went back to the same playground, hoping the Demon boy would be there. Sure enough he was, and blood was all over the ground.
Scared and worried that he'd died, Mistist rushed over to him. She checked his pulse. It was faint. She rushed back to the Heaven and grabbed some supplies from the Medicine Fort. She returned back to the close to death Demon. She took a bucket out of her bag, and looked around for a source of water. She glanced at the fountain she had first sat at when she came here. She dipped the bucket into the cool water, wetting part of her gown due to the rush she was in. She placed the bucket on the ground and lifted the Demon boy off the swing.
She laid him down upon the ground and placed a pillow she retrieved from her bag up under his head. She reached into her bag and grabbed at a sponge. She dipped it into the water and wrung it out, pulling it from the bucket. The water splashed every where. She placed a rag into the water from her bag as well. She squeezed this of the water and placed it on the Demon boy's head. He was burning up.
She took the jacket from around his chest. She saw a very deep, what looked like a bullet hole wound, in his chest. She looked away for a moment, terrified of how much blood was still coming from the wound as well as the gruesome site in front of her under the swing. It was like a rain puddle after a really bad storm blew by. She looked back, determined to help this boy. She had to. She felt bad for having left him before.
She then drew the sponge from the towel she had placed it on, also taken from her bag. She dabbed about his open wound, cleaning it. She wondered how bad the wound really was.
“Does it go all the way through?” She wondered to herself.
After she had cleaned the wound she pulled a stitching kit from her bag. She laced some clear thread through the needle hole and tied it at the end. She placed it to the young Demon's chest.
“You can do this, you have to. Save his life.” She thought to herself, as her steady fingers pushed the first piece of thread through the opening in the Demon boy's chest.
She passed thread after thread through the open cut. After she was finished with that, she dabbed it once more, making sure that it was nice and clean. She then pulled out a heated piece of metal. She placed upon his chest to melt the stitches into him. She wanted to make sure none of them came undone. She also pulled out a long white bandage, she placed it at her side. She began to lift the boy up onto her lap. She picked up the long white bandage and wrapped it around the Demon boy. She made sure it was tight and firm. She wanted him to have the best chance at recovering.
The Demon boy's eyes began to open thought they were empty and knew not where they were, but Mistist continued to work, tears in her eyes.
“Why didn't I help him the first time?” She said in a soft whisper, a tear falling from her cheek.
She brushed the hair from the Demon boy's eyes as they shut once more. She held him within her arms. Worry was consuming her mind.
“Come on, wake up. Be strong Demon. Come back to this world. Oh please don't die.” Mistist sobbed.
Just then the Demon boy's eyes opened, he was in a state of confusion. He was confused as to how he got here.
“Are you an Angel?” He asked, unaware he was speaking or even thinking.
Mistist stopped sobbing to look down at the Demon, whose life she had just saved.
“Oh thank goodness!” Mistist said hugging the Demon close to her chest, letting tears stream down and into the Demon's face.
He suddenly became aware of his surrounding and pushed the Angel girl about from him.
“What the hell did you do to me?” He shouted at Mistist.
