Ode to a cherryA Poem by fattycbreezy52
"Ode to a cherry" 🍎
(Not for the pure realists out here) Flashing like those crimson ear drops You winked at my tickling enzymes Which pushed me all the way To the fresh fruits section of the supermarket And bring you home for some 250 bucks. In a customary, unembellished box Which I know is so not your type. Stripping you naked from the clutches of that clingy plastic, I laid you bare inside an alluring bowl Which welcomed your deluge like a teacher trying to control her noisy students if at all an announcement is important enough to be made during their lunch break. Some rubicund, Some maroon, Some red, Some pale, And some totally white. Yet, retaining a tinge of red Indicating, Though anaemic, We have retained our ruddiness. You are one of a kind. Glistening with the already stuck water drops on your plump body Like dew drops upon the viridescent family. Reeking of sensuality like a girl with light clothes in the tantalizing rain. Waltzing passionately, Tugging at the nip of my lower lip, You forced that tongue, without any request To come like a fearless knight, And embrace your succulent body like you are the sole possession, He has prized on winning the tournament. And what reactions have you evoked deep inside? This sixty seconds fantasy can make me forget the sixty days of my last summer love, Easily for a while. You are so natural, So pristine, Without a tinge of artifice. Sometimes off-season You are also available To satiate me and my enzymes. No fruit gum, No juice, No lozenge. I want you juicy and raw in your original state. Just when I thought I have got the love of my life, The seed came out uncovered, Stuck with little edible portion. Telling me it's time to depart! © 2015 fattycbreezy52Author's Note
