A spooky loss

A spooky loss

A Poem by fattycbreezy52

He kept on yelling 'Carpe Diem',
At the top of his lungs.
But,you continued with your coyness,
Failing to yield
To an honest bevy of overtures.
Now defeated in the struggle against the monstrous time
Which gives your expiration a sardonic smile
Sleep here restlessly,
Devoid of beauty,
Rosy cheeks and hue,
Skittishness and coquettishness!
Surrender your biological structure
Entirely to the advances
Received from the creepy-crawlies
Down under.
Making upon your virginity
A bilious attack,
In the blood-curdling obscurity
Of a spooky grave.
While pale and cold
With a constant death-chill,
You would scream every night
 For the redemption.

Author's Note

fattycbreezy52
It's just my own way of expressing anger...The reason is definitely the beloved whom Marvell describes as totally coy and unyielding after reading "To his Coy mistress" for my exams.I don't know,I felt like writing about this stupid woman.

Ha you will educate me yet. I have just read 'To His Coy Mistress'. You capture that disdainful voice in this wrought iron piece as you chide her for foolishness. But be foolishness a choice rather than commanded by a voice such as his? Her virginity is hers to treasure until measure by measure she decides
to drop the filigree veil and impale herself upon the horns of man. Until that day she may hold back that tide, Canute like if you will. But the silver and the gold she does keep dry...........................................
