Writer's block

Writer's block

A Poem by fattycbreezy52

The world which I see through the organ of sight
Is vivid and evocative.
To you,it's just an eye-catching rhododendron bush
But To me?
Yes,it's the rhododendron bush providing a vivid splash of mauve.

The soft colors of the tasteful landscape which I discern ,
Sound like a melody to my eager ears.
Humans and anthropoids,to me,
Form a blend of forms, structure(nearly) and some attributes.
It's as good as a mashed banana blended with raisins and ginger.
However, debunking the myth of the Fake banana flavor....

But suddenly,
I see no more colors, and no more connections.
A tree is just a tree and nature is as bland as an unadventurous vegetarian dish.
Where is my piquant flavouring?
Are my expressions unreadable?

It's as if by some magic, everything has been taken away!
A benign condition is cool, yet so very painful
Tied to those adamantine chains, dwelling in penal fire
Away from those heavenly ideas that once cradled my very existence.

Have lost all the connections, between my dreams and reality.
Dig the universe,get some colors
And paint me anywhere.
After all,it would be nice to get some colors back.

Yes...that damn Block.
It is a stumbling block for anyone who has been around the block. If I had a little hammer I’d take a chip off the old block; if I had a big hammer I’d knock your block off. Since you are the new kid on the block I will let you overcome this mental block right out of the blocks. Good luck, sweet poet.

You are right*
Lack of inspiration, indeed the worst possible disease for a writer but then there are lot of things to inspire us it's just we don't appreciate or sometimes we don't want to appreciate. And after a while we again are active. Nice poem:)
