Lugubrious

Lugubrious

A Poem by fattycbreezy52
"

Some contrasts make your life while some can actually destroy it

"

"Lugubrious" Preaching positive But deep down, pessimistic. Lugubrious, Having a tangy Jolly Rancher But only fidgeting with its wrapper. Lugubrious, Floating like a rotten banana, Down a slow creek. But expecting to be eaten without any complaints. Lugubrious, Stuck in a bubble that I blew. Lugubrious, Made a gun with my fingers And shot myself in the foot. Lugubrious, I bled tears And wept blood. Lugubrious, It's freezing outside But the blanket keeps me warm. Lugubrious, My eyes are blue But my sky is gray. Lugubrious, Standing amidst a chattering boodle Yet, feeling alone.

Thanks for the review!:)
Quite the bunch of contrasts and ironic situations. Not sure it is sad or dismal, but conflicted for sure. Nice choice of words. Lydi**
