Transformation

Transformation

A Poem by fattycbreezy52
"

Life is unpredictable after all

"
What was he and what has he become?
Starting from a hay-trusser,and rising to the post of The Mayor
Outer transformation cannot change the feelings
Feelings are one thing which ,however, never change.
He had no luxury,no castle
He just had a small hut where hardly anyone could send a parcel.
The only light available to him in his boyhood days was sunshine
The only people he befriended was himself and his mother.
But after 25 years,
Destiny has brought him back on a tour
A temporary tour of strolling down the streets of his childhood home
The hut was not there, but its remnants still conjured up an image
Of a boy fidgeting inside with his broken toy.
That narrow lane evoked a lot of memories,he started counting them all
The innumerable faces of the past that he continued to haul.
He was by no means a rich man and had little to give
But brutality took it all from him without caring if it was enough for him to live
Lost his mother who was the reservoir of his life
He felt like the necrotic appendage cut off with a blunt knife
His life had changed, but feelings remained the same
He lack the civilised hardihood, but still managed a grace
He had a strong bearing with some stoutness,
But his soul was of petals, delicate and frail.
His life was a story, chapters chronologically misplaced

lovely writing! love it when I stumble upon new words..."hay-trusser" and "necrotic"........ I know a few people with humble beginnings and they "made" it in life.....their stories are mostly inspirational......it just proves that we never have an excuse to believe life dealt us a bad hand......:)

Intense. It pulls the reader in see how his transformation ends. Good job on bringing out the emotions of compassion in the reader. Nice writing, really liked it!

This a poem that tells a story of poor makes good. Has advanced his life amazingly from his meager roots but his inner core has not moved ahead as fast as his outward growth to respectability. He is still 'raw' on the inside' and though as mayor he is looked up to, inside he is quite the opposite in bearing. I enjoyed this poem for content and flow and subject matter. A good job all around.
