California Bound I

California Bound I

We spent the weekend with the door locked tight
A dirty motel room and an old lamp for light.
The air was stale and smelled of cheap smoke
We cant watch T.V. since we lost the remote
But none of that matters to us anyway
The last couple nights in my mind on replay
First was the fight with your parents you had
You kissed mom goodbye, waved a finger to dad
After the fight with your folks we hopped in my car
Headed to City Hall it wasn't that far
We paid a local bum to be our witness
You had on your favourite tiny ripped dress
We said our quick vows and left for the coast
No fear in our hearts,no successes to boast
Cheap hotel rooms and whatever it takes
We'll make it regardless if we make mistakes
You sing as I write lyrics and strum my guitar
We make love and make msuic, that's who we are
All I need's my six-string and you by my side
This life is going to be one crazy ride
