TeaA Poem by fattycbreezy52A friend and her statements inspired me behind writing this
At the end of the month
I can afford nothing but a cup of tea. At the corner of the street, In a paltry shop with a broken bench outside it. Would you still sit and kiss those earthen cups As affectionately as the wine glasses inside the locked, fragmented room? Would you accept the cheap poetry and a few flowers plucked from the neighbour's garden and smile the same When you receive those imported chocolates? I cannot offer a roof above a vehicle in hot summer afternoons But a black umbrella that would refelct light when you walk beside me. But would you even walk a few kilometres to save that last penny for the beggar who is begging for it? He can offer you nothing but blessings. Like I can offer love.
