As I may never hold a Child

As I may never hold a Child

A Poem by fatimasque

pine nuts and pumpkins line up

for the nose

and the sun peaks through clouds

in play

the road ahead offers history made

to be made

meanwhile, when my heart beat comes

to, and ends

my lineage may only ever

continue,

in the imagination of generations

unborn
