Train

Train

A Poem by Derrek Wesley Steven Gaspard

There's a blind man
rolling out on the stones
that beset him

There's a deaf man
muted by his own mutterings
He can hear fine

So I stuck my thumb out
waiting for that train named
infinity to stop

It comes screaming
Roll On

Leaves falter in their
stroke downward
And the pebbles shake

I look up to the moon
and feel it tugging me

kite
moth
string
