when you no longer trust a man's sweet words.

when you no longer trust a man's sweet words.

A Poem by Faati Jaan

when he starts to flirt with you
and you begin to feel a string
tighten around your lungs
and the sickness enter
your stomach
recognize this as the trauma
from your past heart-wounds
but do not ignore your intuition.

There are many men who are only on the prowl for women they can take advantage of. I think most women know that. Perhaps it is only the ones who recognize the internal signals that can avoid such a man.

I'm sure there are girls who are so hopeful, they ignore the signs. What a shame for them. This poem is good advice. I'm sure you've been hurt before and this is your way of trying to help others who may wind up in the same situation. I applaud you for that.
