She

“She,”
flowed out of the mouth
like one thousand rapid rivers,
one hundred horses stampede across a field,
a swift and firm 
knock-out
to the unconscious
and reviving the pulse
catching the breath
coming to life.

This one is a bit vague but it seems to be the instant shock a woman gets when she discovers another female has invaded the picture. Being its only a guess, I won't expound on my interpretation which could be faulty.

I think there's beauty in the vagueness of some pieces. Your interpretation of this piece is interesting for me. The writer always has their own personal meaning behind their work that they are trying to convey, and the reader, their experience of the piece. It's an interesting connection. Although I think the integrity of some pieces were meant to be honored. For example, there are those who write about the experience of black women or women of color, and I believe publicly, the original intent of those poems should be respected. However, a person may have their unique experience from the piece, and use it for their own, internally.

My intent in this poem was to convey feminine beauty, power, and strength, in the simplicity of a single, ordinary female-identifying word.

I'm fascinated by the story that this piece sparked in you. I'm interested to know what stories might be inspired in others as well upon reading this. Thank you for your review :)
