My love's loss

My love's loss

A Poem by Faati Jaan
"

"

You were reminiscing,

forming memories into words of a nostalgic and paternal love,

and in mid-sentence stopped,

the red swelling in your eyes,

your stone countenance melting away with tears.

God…

You’re so human..

A parents heart can break ever so easily when discussing a love that once was and is now only a memory. It takes years to fight back the tears, arise from the daydreams and not see a object that swiftly reminds them of the love of their lives.

Yes, being human is a good way to describe it in few words.
