Your joy is my medicine

Your joy is my medicine

A Poem by Faati Jaan

The childish
bliss that
returned to
your countenance
after the storm
calmed my heart
that was battered
from the winds
a comfort that
could only radiate
from the glow
in your cheeks
and the glisten
of relief
in your eyes
that soak deep
into my wounds
and gently heal…
