Labyrinth of Lies

Labyrinth of Lies

A Poem by Charles

Time tortures my soul I should have known
The burden is unbearable I feel so alone
As the days pass by and the nights get longer
I feel my fate as it's growing stronger
A heavy hand pushes me along
Fighting for my life when I don't belong
They whisper silently in my ear
Telling me of death and lonely despair
A struggle to find the good inside me
Has become a war to let the bad be
Insanity clings to the clammy grip of grief
Looking for an escape but finding no relief
I hide but become lost in the labyrinth of lies
Searching for myself I reveal my disguise
