SomewhereA Poem by fatalsymphonies
Somewhere out there a tear is drawn
And somewhere out there a hand breaks away from the woven fingers of a lover, And a kiss brought to an end from one another; One is at war, Somewhere, he prods on. Do you ever think, somewhere A woman clenches the skins of a newborn, tears flowing down her face while her lover entangles his thoughts with a gun, shooting away to save a country he belongs to Somewhere, for his son, he prods on. A dress is gripped in the hands of a lover, fat glowing drops saturating her hair, knowing that he, her lover, is out there Somewhere, for her, he prods on. She lies in her cushioned mattress day and night just waiting for the day he arrives, stroking the hair of her child, For Daddy will be back, he strives. She waits and waits, he prods on. For someday, he'll open that porch door again calling her name, and he breathes at the rhythm of her pulse Somewhere.
