A song for the lonelyA Poem by fatalsymphonies
Oh little one, daughter of death,
oh friendly one, sister of fortune, oh enthralling one, kissers of the lovers, How dare you take a broken heart to shatter it alive, how dare you smell a soul of treason and kiss it to revive? Oh but you knew it the whole time, stroking the seconds with your slender fingers, a sneer escaping your thunders, your late night beatings, you'll kill us no further than you already have. Oh shadowed one, scared, frightened hider of the nights, oh helpless one, cradler of his own thighs, oh unsheltered one, aren't you just begging, begging, pleading for just one last look into her eyes? Here, now take my hand, weave my fingers through your embrace, here, now take my lips, speaker of the words you'll desire to hear one day, I'm writing for those like you, trapped in a world that only the world can escape, a victim, a loss, a painful night brewer. Here, friend, here, here's my soul, I trust for you to hold it dearly, Here, friend, I promise not to love you, although I already do, shadow of the night I hold like life to abide, Here, here is for you, a melody to sing, pretending for words to arise, Here, for you, a song for the lonely.
