Excellent poem... while it would nice to be able to turn emotion on and off.. if we did that we may become very cold and thats no way to live..

I agree with DC, you must allow time for those feelings to go away..on there own. It's not pleasant..but your mind needs the time to regroup...and when you do...like a catapiller to a butterfly you will become.
