Prologue
I stood there. Watching. That was all I could do. Tears ran hot down my cheeks but I did not wipe them. I could move. I stood in the road, paralysed. The car turned a corner, it's windows glinting in the sunlight, and was then hidden by bushes. Gone. I heard footsteps behind me. I stood a moment, gathered myself, and turned to face my brother Max. I smiled and strode to the kitchen door. As I went by, the final petal on a rose fell off, and drifted to the cold hard ground below.

Kayla and Amber are my favourite characters out of all the books I have written! They are very funny and know each other like the back of their hands! It is a very good book!!
