Mother's teardropA Poem by Fariha Tahseen KarimDo as much as you can for you parents. Because when you called them one time they said 'yes' several times.
Your mother carried you in her womb for 9 years
Black or white? she didn't even think as she had no fears Without seeing you she fell in love with you She gathered things before your birth, doesn't matter if it is old or new This made me realize love still exists and love is blind She dreamed of you and happiness she could only find The happiness increased when you met the world and stepped in But then you started committing all those sin Your teenage crawled in and set a frown on her face She kept hope and prayed to get rid of those unlucky days She recalled how you grabbed her fingure to take your first step You hugged her tight even when you were taking a nap Without complaining, you drank up your milk You kept touching her dress because you felt it was as smooth as silk You danced in your pajamas's getting ready for school Recall that, today how many times did you call her fool? Headphones in your ears and you ignore her pain You think about your heart breaks and just can't enjoy the rain! With one hand you fix your makeup and with the other you comb your hair You just don't give a shi*t to whats fair and unfair Your innocent smile was better than the lip-gloss smile You crave to go back to your childhood but you yourself locked it in a file © 2014 Fariha Tahseen KarimAuthor's Note
