Offspring

Offspring

A Poem by fantom
"

Dedicated to my son and the new transition or the new phase of me.. As a parent..

"

Like the silence you arrived.

Shaking my world,

With the sound of a thousand marching band,

You wept like a lord.

Under your mother’s hand.

Defeated in battle,

In this wild world!

I sought your refuge.

And felt your essence.

That made you my world.

While challenging me to the test,

You caressed me with your breath.

And I smiled while you slept.

Under the warmth of my embrace,

You dreamt and I wept.

Hoping for your strength!

While you sought,

Serenity on my chest,

I pushed harder

To seek your grace,

And I failed.

Left stuck in a maze.
