Until ThenA Poem by Natasha LeanneWe met. Cautions thrown to the wind, and a distant love affair that to me, ended too soon. I remember him, as if yesterday our lips had first met. He stared into me, I felt loved, cared for, missed even. Even when I forget him, one image brings me back. His arms holding me so tight, and life was sublime, if only for a moment.
I still wonder if it was love? Or just something like it. Either way he lingers on my mind. He remains now, as a part of a memory, the best one I have. It plays over and over in my mind. I can't help but think, we owe it to ourselves, as a goodbye, to recite those moments, one last time.
Until then, and if then does exist, I hold this memory, close my eyes and reminisce, his touch, taste, smell, if I dream hard enough, I can feel it. One can only hope, We meet again. © 2009 Natasha LeanneReviews
