Alone

Alone

A Poem by Natasha Leanne

As I slip into solitude,

Submerge myself in my tears,

I drown in this depression

and sink into nothingness.

I drift by on dreams,

sail on fantasies,

fly away on memories,

of a time when I was happy.

I long to feel wanted,

but hit reality hard.

Bound to this feeling,

and this vaccant expression.

Surrounded by darkness,

Smothered and insecure,

trapped in a tomb.

I am so

Alone...

I felt that the depression and desolation was expressed strongly. The poem reminded me of a self-inflicted prison, without any heart or hope of ever finding a key to escape. A beautiful, sad poem.
