That Undesired Feeling

That Undesired Feeling

A Poem by Natasha Leanne

Don't let it get to you,

Push it away,

Leave it alone,

Defeat it.

That thing that holds you back,

Leaves you terrified,

It doesn't help,

It doesn't feel,

It doesn't have to be there,

It's not real.

Defeat it,

Scream,

Anything, just scream,

Then silence,

That silence?

That relentless empty stomach feeling,

Swallow hard, that stone in your throat?

Defeat it,
Leave it,

Push it away,

Because that.... is fear.

Good archetypal reminder. I think core fear is probably just the chronic collapse of egoity in the face of inherent radical sublimity. Love-Desire standing up is "God" (default term for Mystery) moving in a realm. One rad guru Adi Da said: "Fear is when love stops short of Infinity." Yeah, I dig that. The human condition is mostly a lack of CORE thoroughness, so the effin' tractor remains in the ditch garlanded w/the paper flowers of religion, the jingo badges of nationalism, cobwebbed by pre-conscious breeding.

Since we all suffer somewhat regardless, I've never understood my fellow humans' propensity for core avoidance, fear dominance -- as the old song says: "Freedom's just another word for nothin' left to lose."

Fear: burn it up!

The poem has a really good flow. It could translate well into a song made by a Linkin Park carbon copy band. I've got a drum set at my parents house ... we could make this work. I think Pax Analog should be our frontman so he could say things in interviews like he said in his review and we would all look like abstract artist geniuses.

Good description of the feeling, and how you deal with it ... thanks Yossi
