Standing aloneA Poem by JustineLife is like a box of chocolate, They said You never know what you're gonna get, They said Perhaps convinced as an affirmation with the absence of choice Perhaps relieved with the possibilities of desired fate To discern the perception of a life that was once so special; To seek the optimistic idea of life, or the severe impact of reality Yet here we are wondering Whether it's your sleepless nights or your Sunday mornings We crave for the dreadful truth behind 'reality' Leading to nothing But mustered brains; All intended to seek the truth behind everything. Thoughts and ideas stitching together as one Fragile hearts misleading us into a thousand emotions 'Till the truth traps us with deceit To the certainty that we are all Just walking fleshy pieces and curious minds In a world so occupied Yet here we are, Standing alone.
