Glasses tinted BlackA Poem by KiranAges since, I took my pen... stared out of my window past midnight...and this is what I finally wrote.
Its been ages since I felt this way
Lost and lonely on the cold morning day, The darkened window pale as night Thunder that shook with all its might Oh! Its Oh so dark when from amidst the trees, I glanced above and saw not the sun But bleak a star, a dime of the moon Alas! Its day, begone I cry. But shone the patch brighter than the day The crickets along the night did muse Music forlorn that match the portrait I watch Daylight tinted the night with glasses that bequeath the eyes. The music tears at my heart For now to sleep do I part. Its dark and lovely through the glass But beyond the windows fears my lay Keep the grills do my woes at bay For its my heart and nothing more Its my heart and nothing more That shades the day in strokes of black Love the clouds that rage the sky Lest they pour and make my heart light Just 'cause they can and I hope they might.
