the dark side of Ebony ParkerA Poem by Luna Valentine
Ebony Parker.
alone in the world Her stepfather angry her sisters cry when they lay their eyes on her her eyes and hair black as night she does not cry or laugh or smile or frown or talk she is made of thoughts of spirits of ghosts of fright of death she treasures only spiders not friends not family not objects she prowls the yard at night and gathers roses her sisters cry when they lay their eyes on them and her stepfather yells she never wears shoes or sunglasses or hats or jewelry She likes only thunder not rain not clouds not sun not wind alone in the world, She is Ebony Parker.
