Undisputed

Undisputed

A Poem by falsename

Beaten a bloody crimson,

his composure ebbs and wanes.

The contender musters courage

to sustain the crooked frame.

Fools long laid to rest,

true valor remains,

In those willing to attest

to the validity of their strengths.

The sun blinds the eyes,

now unable to feign,

The warrior embraces

the abashing pain.

Unwilling to break,

he welcomes every strike.

Rationing his gasp,

he is waiting to ignite.

An opening is revealed,

the contender seizes time,

The blistering battering

now shifts to the other side.

Executing with precision,

the contender’s jabs ignite.

An upset, a conquering,

the retribution night.

Now the new victor,

he stands over his foe.

Savoring his breath

expelling his woe.

Luck is a lie,

a transparent veil.

He chose not to surrender,

he needed to prevail

He harnessed adversity,

to sharpen his skill.

He won out of patience,

and undying will.
