Save You From The StormA Poem by TallulahSuch a beautiful girl drowning in the storm she creates herself.
Every time I see you
It's like a waterfall Crashing down on my lungs Stealing the air from my body, Forcing my heart to skip a beat. You are so fragile. Such a gentle ocean Submitting itself to a rough storm. I want to reach out my hand And rescue you from this torture That you put yourself through. Punishment; that's what you call it. Yet I see no reason for you to be punished. You are being you. The very thing that makes you Beautiful, fun and amazing. You are being punished fir being yourself Because she doesn't appreciate your beauty. There are no words to describe you Or the explosion of butterflies that erupt in my tummy Every time I think of you. How your voice is like a sweet lullaby, How your touch is so soft and gentle That it keeps my skin tingling Even after you move away from me... And how when you aren't by my side When you aren't looking at me I get so sad and jealous And I wish to be all you you see. I don't know what words to say to you To express how I feel about you All I know is that every time you're near It's like I'm drowning beneath a waterfall And all I want is to save you from this storm That you submit yourself too Because you are so fragile And you cling to the very lightning bolts that strike you. You are so fragile, Clinging to the pain because it makes you feel alive But its tearing you apart inside. You are so fragile. © 2011 TallulahAuthor's Note
