No Matter What

sometimes we forget the people who are so important to us.

Sometimes I forget
How much I love you
And Everything You mean to me
you become just a person blurred into the
dark background of my life
just a mix of darkness
and little twinkling stars
that I see everyday
so I take them for granted
take you for granted
the good mixed with the bad
until its one big picture
and all the lovely details of the pictures can't be seen
Until you can't be seen

And then like a shooting star
Or maybe lightning
A memory lights up my mind
and suddenly I remember just who you are
No longer a twinkling star lost in the dark past
But rather the large moon
Lighting everything up reminding me of who I am
Who you help made me to be
 
And I remember how important you are
Why you mean so much to me
And why everyday I see you
I say I love you
Those aren't meaningless words
They aren't something I tell you just to fill space
And sometimes I forget
But from now on I will always make the effort to remember
That you were what kept my world revolving
That you gave me hope that another sunrise would always be better then the last
and that when darkness fell
it wasn't the end
but rather the start to a beautiful beginning.

Never again will you fall back to empty space
taken for granted
Just because you're always there.
I always remember you
No longer stars twinkling in a dark background
but rather the beautiful flowers that grew alongside the barren road
that survived the storms
And never left me to suffer alone.

I love you and I always will. <3
