Dark light

Love in the dark fields,
masked by a fallen light.
The woods around are but fading
memories.
Wandering through a beaten path,
lead only by bare emotion.
I walked towards a lie and fell into
a black abyss.
Blinding tears fall.
My mind blank, if there was but one wish,
it would have been never to ever have a once
dead heart beat again.
Numb coldness takes over my soul.
Feeling of eternal happiness flow
towards eternal hate.
Many broken pieces of a glass heart
lay scattered about on the ground.
The pieces almost too small to even
see let alone place back together again.
No stitches this time.
Just a broken heart.
