Fake Rose

Fake Rose

A Poem by Rosee

The rose you left

Means nothing

Like a broken wing

Falling, bereft

You stole my hope

And took my smile

Drop me a sign release a rope

Show me love

A feeling which left for a while

Each pedal reminds me

Of the tears that fell

Streaking my face

Gliding down my knees

Under my chin they dwell

Why pink?

Such a tickling color

A sense of heaven

Like finding a dollar

What did you think?

I see a fake rose

Though the thorns are real

They stick in my heart

Like pins to clothes

I saw the picture

With my freckled cheeks

And missing teeth

Where were you?

I saw the movie

Where I danced in the rain

My boots broke glass

Where were you?

Its funny

I can ask all the questions

Like how to bees make honey?

But all I get are my own suggestions

The rose means nothing

Like I do to you

I wait and watch bees buzz

In and out of my life

Its nothing new
