Rape

Rape

A Poem by Panthera Tigris

Have you heard the story yet?!
Many regrets all unerasable.
Are you wondering yet?
A young soul now irreplaceable.
Do You feel the threat?
Of course not u weren't behind their eyes,
unimaginable pain that cant compare to size.
Too many lies now all uncatchable.
Open your eyes & realize,
reminisce how they did this.
Broke your body in half,
your heart stuck in your throat
all you could hear was their laughs
but to you its not a joke,
you begin to choke,
but here comes the tape,
another piece to the story that we call rape.

This is a soul touching piece. It speaks honestly and openly to a very sensitive subject. It has touched me in a way profound and visceral. The only other writing to ever effect me this way was The Story of Jane Doe ( A book about Rape ). That book was a very honest account of rape and its aftermath. I have an immense honour and respect for this amazing piece of literature. You have done an oustanding job.

My heart bleeds for all who suffer and my soul weeps for all who have gone through this. When we acknowledge events like this and share our feelings we open up a dialogue and create a public discourse. You have accomplished something wonderful here by opening peoples eyes to the harsh realities of the world around us.

Thank you for sharing this.

You have my deepest respect.

= my favorite piece.
it tells me that, no one will ever feel what I felt and no one will ever tell me that it will be okay.
good work !
I look forward to reviewing more of your mork :D.

The rhyme was superb, and I got a lighthearted feel out of this even though it's about rape. I heard harps or a xylophone in my head as I read this. Maybe I'm just messed up. Anyway, good job. I look forward to reading more poetry by you.

Very deep and bittersweet! I love this one. It's really in-your-face and gritty, another thing I like about this piece. Encore encore :)

Hello Panthera,
it is a very insightful piece on the subject of rape, but I'll help you
break it up into pieces like you asked me too. Not only does this relate to physical rape,
but rape of the mind as well so many can relate to the piece, because rape of the
body is not the only thing that can break someone, so this piece is well done.
This is how I would break up the piece:

Have you heard the story yet?!
Many regrets all unerasable.
Are you wondering yet?
A young soul now irreplaceable.
Do You feel the threat?
Of course not u weren't behind their eyes,
unimaginable pain that cant compare to size.
Too many lies now all uncatchable.
Open your eyes & realize,
reminisce how they did this.
Broke your body in half,
your heart stuck in your throat
all you (could) hear was their laughs [I revised this bit, I feels it sounds better]
but to you [revised slang here] its not a joke,
you begin to choke,
but here comes the tape,
another piece to the story that we call rape.
------------
I revised some of the typos and changed some of the slang and showed you
how I would break it up, but really it's not about the typos or whatnot, but rather
about the content of the piece and you did an excellent job expressing your feelings
on the subject.

P.S If you ever need a review, I'm here! :D
