every time my heart is ripped open,

when i acquire another wound,

you would instantly be at my side,

healing my wound, healing my heart.

you're my best friend,

the only one i can depend on;

and now i've realized,

you're the only one i've truly loved.

but you don't want my love,

only my friendship.

you distanced yourself,

once i opened my heart to you.

how do i get you back,

how will you stay beside me?

i've found out how, i know how,

i'll acquire more wounds.

i'll let others rip my heart open,

i'll let them hurt me.

the pain isn't as bad,

when you're by my side afterwards.

i’ll leave my heart open,

waiting for your love.

i'll keep loving you,

although it’s unreciprocated.
