Especially after you fear that the one you made the promise with doesn't want to keep it no more.

Would it not be easier,

To must promise oneself;

To never promise anyone,

Never trust anyone.

For no one will promise you,

Trust you.

You're not trustworthy.

Short & simple. But the simplicity is what made this work. However, sometimes some people are trustworthy and everything. So don't lose so much hope in it. ;)
