So Unpretty

So Unpretty

A Poem by Faith

So unpretty
A soul tainted by misery
Not a smile on her face
No more chance of redeeming grace

Locked in the closet, unaware
Of the way the people stare
To feel it hurt every day
Close your eyes and start to pray

When you want to laugh and play
Your voice breaks down and you hear them say
No place left to hide your face
No more chance of redeeming grace

This is a beautiful work and a compelling story! Your stanzas are tight and they all flow well. Have you considered adding (minimal) punctuation?
