Ephemeral life and eternal sleepA Poem by Faith PiA comparison between center city and the woodlands in Philadelphia.High-rises touching the clouds, men and women busily walking along its blocks, People conducting business, shopping, eating, drinking, dancing out their socks, Lost in myriad things to vie, life does thrive, it's a downtown high. Flowers growing from their tombstone, mostly alone, some got company, Young, old and family - from centuries ago till now, all lie together, their lives a mystery, Sleeping in their casket, life is quiet, what did one get with all that riot? Center city got me frisson, but the woodlands got me free-of, Is it coz I see peace at final destination or a solace that my final destination is peace? © 2019 Faith PiAuthor's Note
