RiverA Poem by Faith PiBeautiful river, which made me happy, also invoking a hidden sense of terror.Sun whilst retreating into its shell, glistening her shores like a golden well. Rustling of the leaves as the wind blows gently, her placid waves appear to sway serenely. On earth, swirling and flowing with grace, unstoppable despite hurdles, creating her own ways. Occasionally welling up, engulfing everything that comes across, hypnotizing wayward ones to join her abyss, holding secrets in the depths of her womb, carrying along, to a higher shelter, Your chasm lies in the eye of the beholder. © 2019 Faith PiAuthor's Note
