Grandma

Grandma

A Poem by Faith Kinnison

Grandma

My grandma was the most wonderful woman

And I was her favorite grandchild

She used to sit at the kitchen table

And listen to me for hours

I'd tell her about all my dreams

And she believed they'd all come true

She'd smile and touch my hand

And tell me never to give up

Sometimes I can still hear her

Whispering in my ear

And I smile

And I touch my daughter's hand

And I know everything will be okay

And I know I'll make it in this world

Someday
