Multiple Loves

Multiple Loves

A Poem by Faith Kinnison

Multiple Loves

One minute you love me, the next you don’t

One minute you think I’m the best, the next you don’t

You tell me you’re happy with me

But everything about me makes you sad

You tell me you love our children

But you don’t want to take care of them

I just don’t get it, what do you want from me

I can’t be everywhere, I can’t do everything

My mother once said

You can’t have your cake and eat it too

I don’t understand it, but I’m still saying

If you love me, you have to love all of me

I love you, but sometimes it seems like

You have multiple personalities

And I don’t love all of them

I have multiple loves

But only one of them is worth my time

Please be that one
