Over and Over Again

Over and Over Again

A Poem by Faith Kinnison

Over and Over Again

You walk into the room, and my heart begins to flutter

With every word you say, my heart begins to shutter

When I see your smile, my shield begins to melt

I know the pain will return, the one I have always felt

When you ask me to dance, my hands begin to shake

I know that I will endure another Earthquake

Now my hands are held by yours

I know the fantasy will end with slamming doors

I know how this night will end, and

I know that it will happen over and over again
