Strangers in the Dark

Strangers in the Dark

A Poem by Faith Kinnison

Strangers in the Dark

I see you, but you don't know I am there

I talk to you, but you don't hear my words

I love you, but you take my heart for granted

I need you, but you crush my spirit

I want you, but you're not ready for my love

I hear you, but your words have no meaning

I guess I'll just have to wait

Maybe I came just a little too late

Maybe you're passed the point of no return

Maybe we'll never be more than just friends

And our life together will come to an end

Maybe we're just strangers in the dark

Trying to meet in the middle

At the heart
